Strawberry Shortcake Tiramisu

Strawberry Shortcake Tiramisu is a bold and no-bake flavorful summery treat: two favorite desserts transformed into one perfect trifle! Are you still looking for the perfect Easter dessert? This is it!
two favorite desserts transformed into one perfect trifle Strawberry Shortcake Tiramisu

Strawberry Shortcake Tiramisu is the ultimate dessert!  Every holiday I deliver outstanding treats to friends and family.  Last year on my father-in-laws ("Pop Pop")'s birthday, I delivered a flop dessert.  Have you ever tried to deliver a cream pie across town when it's 110 degrees out?  Let's just say
it was a humbling experience when he opened the door to a dripping cream topping.  All I could do was bust out laughing.

Luckily Pop Pop has a great sense of humor.  Thanks to this AH-mazing summery tiramisu I am completely redeemed!  I delivered this one for Father's Day (in a cooler) and it was a hit.

Using the basic idea of an Italian dessert, the tiramisu, I layered orange dipped lady fingers, with  fresh homemade cream filling and juicy sweetened strawberries to create the most mouthwatering strawberry dessert I have ever tasted. Then I toppd it with a scrumptious strawberry syrup and then I devoured it.

This dessert completely disappeared in a blink and trust me there will be many more made very soon.  Any dessert you can make without heating up the house may be coming out of my kitchen this summer.

TSRI's Sizzling Summer celebration is just around the corner and this year we are adding a TSRI Traveling Tour in the USA.  We are so excited to share our summer celebration and our travel experiences with you.  What do you have planned for this summer?

Strawberry Shortcake Tiramisu

Strawberry Shortcake Tiramisu is a bold and no-bake flavorful summery treat: two favorite desserts transformed into one perfect trifle! Are you still looking for the perfect Easter dessert? This is it!

Ingredients

  • 4 egg yolks
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar, plus 1 tablespoon (divided)
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • pinch salt
  • 18 lady fingers
  • 2 cups strawberries
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • prepared whipped cream
  • strawberry syrup (this homemade recipe or your favorite store bought)

Instructions

  1. Slice strawberries and sprinkle with 1 tablespoon sugar.  Stir to combine and set aside.
  2. In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with a whisk attachment, combine egg yolks and sugar.  Mix on medium until sugar and egg mixture is light and fluffy, about 3-5 minutes.  Add salt, whipping cream and cream cheese.  Whip until mixture is thick and fluffy, about 3 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, pour orange juice into a wide bowl.
  4. Once cream is done, layer your dessert in a trifle dish.  Dip ladyfingers, one at a time into orange juice and crumble into the bottom of the trifle dish.  Each dish will get 1 ½ lady fingers on the first layer.  Add a heaping 1/4 of cream to each trifle dish.  Divide ½ of strawberries amongst trifle dishes.  Repeat.
  5. Top with a dollop of whipped cream and a drizzle of strawberry syrup.  Serve and enjoy.

DONNA'S NOTES

  1. If you want to 'spice' things up a bit, you can swap Grand Marnier orange liqueur for the orange juice.

Caramel Spiced Pumpkin Trifle

This Caramel Spiced Pumpkin Parfait brings your favorite fall flavors together in this inc Caramel Spiced Pumpkin Trifle

This Caramel Spiced Pumpkin Parfait brings your favorite fall flavors together in this incredible 4 layer trifle! Truly a taste of autumn in a glass. A simple recipe that is perfect for individual servings or a big trifle dish for the holidays. This would be perfect for Thanksgiving!

It is the first week of November and all I can think of is fall.  As the temperatures in Phoenix finally dip below 90, I am truly craving pumpkin, apples and warm woodsy spices I had a desire, no actually I had a need to enjoy a fall dessert.  I swear the pumpkin was calling to me from the nearly bare shelves at the grocery store.

I give you 4 incredible layers of warm autumn flavors that come together to bring you a taste of fall.  Layer upon layer of warm, spiced flavors that tickle your tongue and sooth your soul.  My 6-year-old and I went crazy on this dessert, although we cut the serving size down quite a bit.  It is so amazing I had to save some for later.  I have a dish in the fridge for breakfast.  Oops.  I meant later.

Pumpkin, caramels, graham crackers, cream cheese, heavy cream, brown sugar, butter and fall spices are in these autumn delights.   Munchkin and I each devoured our parfaits and I know you are going to love them too.

Enjoy!

With love from our simple kitchen to yours.

1 (11-oz) bag caramels, unwrapped
1/2 cup heavy cream

Pumpkin Mousse
4 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 (15-oz) can pure pumpkin, (not pie filling)
1 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup light brown sugar, packed
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon ground ginger
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Brown Sugar Whipped Cream
2 cups heavy cream
1/4 cup light brown sugar, packed

Cookie Layer
4 graham cracker sheets
4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
2 tablespoons light brown sugar

Assemble: Add a heaping tablespoon of cookie mixture to trifle dish. Add a heaping tablespoon of mousse. Add a heaping tablespoon of whipped cream. Pour 2 tablespoons of caramel sauce into dish. Repeat layers. Drizzle final caramel layer on top of trifle for a spectacular presentation.

My munchkin has been raving about the Copycat Shamrock Shake that I made for her and Chad a few weeks ago.

Although she doesn't indulge in sweets that often I thought it would be fun to make her another shake.  But, when I reached in the freezer for the ice cream...  It was gone.

Oh no.  I don't like making promises and not keeping them.

Being the resourceful mom that I am, I pulled out some of our favorite trifle ingredients; Oreos and pudding.  I immediately got started on a minty treat that we would all love.

A layer of cool mint Oreo cookies, topped  with chocolate pudding, Andes mints and mint whipped cream was PERFECT!

Honestly I am not usually even a mint lover, but this trifle is AMAZING!  Creamy pudding and whipped cream are the perfect contrast for the crunchy Oreo cookies and melt in your mouth Andes mints.  You are going to love it too!

Cadbury Egg Inspired Easter Trifle (Video)

Cadbury Egg Inspired Easter Trifle is the ultimate Easter dessert. A simple 5-ingredient recipe that is ready in just 10 minutes, it doesn't get much better than that!

I can’t even begin to count all my Easter dessert favorites but Easter Crockpot Candy and Best Ever Carrot Cake top the list.

ingredient recipe that is ready in just Cadbury Egg Inspired Easter Trifle (Video)
Ok, well believe it or not I am not the only one in this house with a food obsession.  Chad has a thing for Cadbury eggs.  Come to think of it, when I first met him Cadbury eggs were about the only food in his freezer.  He had a lot.  Apparently, he learned about stocking up from the bears, because he was good to go for the winter.

Now we save freezer space for practical things like bacon and cheese.  {{don't judge, hehe}} So when I noticed my big bear stocking up for the winter with his eggs, I decided to create a trifle inspired by his love for Cadbury Eggs.

I started with a layer of my favorite cookie.  Well, it’s a trifle of course it's all about what I want.  Just kidding, no not really.  After the Oreo layer, I decided we needed to mimic the fondant like filling of the Cadbury egg and I knew I was not whipping out the stand mixer for a trifle.

Creating my own homemade marshmallow fluff proved to be fabulously rewarding.  All I did was add a little water to the mini marshmallows and microwaved them.  Viola, marshmallow fluff!  On top of that I added vanilla pudding (which, luckily is yellow).  Then a layer of chocolate and more marshmallow fluff.  Tada!

My “Ode to the Cadbury Egg, Trifle”.  This is one that I knocked out of the park; a fabulous dessert that you are not going to want to share.  With a mere 5 ingredients and 10 minutes this trifle can be yours!
