Did you know October is National Popcorn month? It's also my birthday month but that is a whole different subject. LOL.

So, to honor popped corn kernels every where I created a scrumptious popcorn treat. Sweet, crunchy and peanut buttery popcorn. What more could you ask for? How about easy prep and easy clean up?

Crunchy Caramel Peanut Butter Popcorn is perfect for movie night and an awesome party favor too. I don't know about you, but I am always on the lookout for fun and delicious homemade party treats. Popcorn is certainly loved by most people and caramel peanut butter popcorn is a perfect party treat.

Just toss a scoop into one of these cute popcorn bags for a party snack or one of these cellophane cones as a party favor and voilà. Party perfect.

You can add anything you like. Add nuts or candy into the mix or even make a bag of each. So whether you are planning a party or just a fun movie night for 2, this popcorn treat should be on your list. While you are at it.

I put together this Popcorn Essentials Collection for all you popcorn lovers out there. I usually pick up a giant bag of popcorn at Costco when we go shopping.

Because you just really can't beat popcorn for a munchie food. If by some weird chance you are not a popcorn lover, here are a few of our favorite desserts to get your party or your movie night off to a sweet start!

Crunchy Caramel Peanut Butter Popcorn

Sweet, crunchy and peanut buttery popcorn. What more could you ask for? How about and easy recipe with quick prep and simple clean up? Crunchy Caramel Peanut Butter Popcorn is perfect for movie night and an awesome party favor too.

Ingredients

2 (3.5 ounce) packages microwave popcorn, popped
¾ cup light brown sugar
½ cup butter
½ cup crunchy peanut butter
6 ounces marshmallows
kosher salt

Instructions

Preheat oven to 300°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Set aside.
Pour popcorn into a large bowl.
In a microwave safe bowl combine butter, brown sugar, and marshmallows. Cook 1 minute at a time in the microwave, stirring between cook times, until the mixture is melted and smooth. Stir in the peanut butter until well blended. Pour the caramel peanut butter mixture over the popcorn, and stir to coat the popcorn before it cools.
Bake 15 minutes (until crunchy) and sprinkle with salt.
Serve and enjoy!
